The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers are an excellent choice for those looking to eliminate mopping from their to-do lists. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to select if you're looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It is smaller than other options, making it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through a clean.

It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

updated blog post  mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as impressive. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be employed to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

My Source  is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and works well however, it's something you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.

The device has an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and efficiently. This leads to a thorough, consistent clean that's also fairly fast.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching many different surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach spots. They also have a flexible side brush that can be extended to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to remove odors and prevent buildup.

Another notable feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to alter the strength of suction and select between a back-and-forth or slightly more random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.

The device has a expensive price tag, but it has a variety of innovative features. It's important to remember that it carries recurring costs, such as mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an power button that doubles as the 'Clean button' and a Home' button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home neat without spending too much time doing chores. Its powerful performance, smart navigation, and long battery life make it simple to keep a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two parts which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module that includes an elastomer pad. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was able to capture an enormous amount of hair shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few pleasant jingles that let you know when it was beginning or completing its task.

Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the need to change between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app cannot save multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has certain unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock which doubles as a charging base as well as housing for two water tanks, a clean sink and the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it gets caught in a hazard like a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a major change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing sight in a space which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
